"No Story Is Not Worth Hearing"
If you don’t like musicals, you should remember that Cosette, Miranda Priestley, James Bond, Leonard’s mom, Dr. Erik Selvig, Howard Stark, Molly Weasley and Mr. Darcy sing Abba songs in Greece.

How Canadians are hatched.
The eggs are laid in mudbeds in the early fall, and will hatch mid-winter as Pucklings to forage for syrup amongst the elk.
canadians are my favorite mythological creature
do americans not do this??
No we explode from our mothers in a spray of fireworks, at which point the doctor swaddles us in a flag and holds us up to the sun, where a bald eagle swoops down, snatches us up, and carries us to the peak of the most majestic, purplest mountain in the region, at which point we are gifted with our first pistols by our Guardian Eagle (pistols because you gotta start small, you know? babies aren’t good at holding rifles). We are then trained in the ways of Freedom until we push our first crate of tea into the ocean (or nearest large body of water). Then we are ready to be returned to our parents.

- Frat buds
Almost thirty years of the misunderstood, floppy haired bad boy look, a guide:
- Long hair that parts pretty much on its own, with no effort put in to it.
- A white undershirt, a plaid flannel shirt above that, and denim jacket for going outside, totally optional.
- Black leather boots over fitted but slightly loose pants or jeans.
- A reputation that makes people afraid/intimidated by you, but really being a total softie.
- Optional accessories: Leather fingerless gloves, Ray Bans, earrings, thin dog tag chain/cord necklace.
So down for all of these men.
Let’s just laugh, though, because two of them are fictional characters dressed by costumers, while Sebastian rocks that look all for himself.
Quite a few people requested some form of trait/personality generator, and here’s the result! I wanted to keep it vague enough that the options could work for any universe, be it modern, fantasy, scifi, or anything else, so these are really just the basics. Remember that a character is much more than a list of traits, and this should only be used as a starting point– I tried to include a variety of things, but further development is definitely a must.
Could pair well with the gender and sexuality generator.
To Play: Click and drag each gif, or if that isn’t working/you’re on mobile, just take a screenshot of the whole thing (multiple screenshots may be required if you want more than one trait from each category).
COMING SOON: A Somewhat Limited History of the Race of Men (Better Title Pending)
I didn’t have time to write any posts last night, so I figured instead I’d give you a very tiny preview of the next downloadable guide I’m working on. Much of the history of race of men - most especially anything that doesn’t concern the Numenoreans or their descendants - is hard to study. Mainly because the details are spread out and hidden among various other texts and sources. So I wanted to create a guide that would collect a lot of this information together in one place. I’m planning on focusing on:
- Linguistic history (which groups spoke which languages, etc.)
- Migration patterns (which groups lived where and when)
- Ethnicity and appearance (I’d say it’s high time we pointed out the various non-pasty-white cultural groups, yes?)
The above chart is a small taste of the prep-work going in to this - a map of the various groups formed over the ages from those men who escaped Morgoth’s control early on (basically, all the groups somehow related to the Edain.) I’m still in the process of making similar maps for all the other men (our lovely Easterlings, Haradrim, etc etc), and of course the hobbits.
…so, anyway, sorry for no “real” post this morning - but enjoy the chart!
Not exactly applicable for this week’s chapters, but handy for later on!
